De

ar all, many thanks again to P Aumont for his comprehensive professional presentation on what he saw from an “Interiors” perspective during the 4 days of the CES in Las Vegas in last January
Philippe is part of “DVN” Driving Vision News, a company providing technical watch on technologies , Lighting and Interiors, to OEMS, suppliers, experts and universities. DVN provides regular newsletters and organizes seminar all over the world enabling informal networking of automotive experts. Philippe specialty here is Interiors covering all functions inside the car, seat, cockpit, doors…
Hereafter some key points of general interest that I recorded:
16 FOR’EVER attendance
CES Las Vegas
Huge ! In 4 days Philippe could only Visit 40 boxes
4200 companies including 1000 for Automotive
This year very focused on Health and cosmetics with strong L’Oréal sponsoring
400 French startups, mainly health
What to highlight on Automotive interiors
The bigger the screen in your car is, the smarter you are according to Mercedes CTO…
A lot of innovation around displays, holographic one being astonishing
Tendency to display drivers information’s far in the IP to keep drivers eye on the road
AI is everywhere and supports interconnectivity to simplify commands and be proactive with driver and passengers.
Driver monitoring systems with sensors to check if you are still capable to drive…
Autonomous vehicles were absent, it seems recognized that cars without drivers will be limited to very specific cases and countries (bad weather is not compatible)
Please feel free to share any important points that I missed 😊
Cordialement, le secrétaire de For’ever
